I was invited to give the keynote for Women’s History Month at St Louis Community College on March 2, 2015. This is what I wrote afterwards:
I’ve been told that you’ve “made it” in life when you get bookmarks made…if that’s the case then errrrybody needs to copy off some bookmarks! No but really…great day talking to students at STL Community College for Women’s History month (I spoke bout Ida B Wells, Pauli Murray, and Faith Ringgold and continuing struggles)….surprised by all the love. Feeling encouraged and motivated by all the student activists and organizers!
Huge thanks to the faculty and students at St. Louis Community College for welcoming me and showing me a great time!

Also, a special shot out to Vernon Mitchell who took me around Ferguson where he attended public school.
